Areas for further work
The items below identify areas requiring further assessment. They are not completed tests or schedule commitments. Their order depends on better-defined inputs and the findings of preceding checks.
- Establish the final weight statement and centre of gravity.
- Assess overall structural strength and review the assumptions used.
- Complete the dynamic stability assessment.
- Investigate resistance and vessel performance, with explicit limits on the applicability of the estimates.
- Check the repeatability of computational results as the model and inputs are refined.
- Define a programme of physical testing and sea trials for a stage at which those tests would be justified.
Grounds for revising the concept
Further checks may require changes to the concept. Listing a task here does not imply that it will produce a favourable result or that the design is mature enough for construction.
Decisions about the next stage should be based on evidence and explicit limitations. Sea trials and full-scale testing have not been confirmed as of the review date.
Updating the public summary
New findings should be reported separately from plans: what was checked, what can be concluded and what remains open. Public descriptions retain the disclosure boundary.
See Development and Checks for the current state. This documentation sets no completion dates for future stages.
Restored materials
Images, diagrams, specifications and calculations. Original dates and limitations are retained.
